Let me be clear here. When I was born the doctor took one look at me and told my mother “that kid is too lazy to even cry.”

True story.

And since that day I’ve been affected by the lazy gene. So when it comes to words like work and rewrite, etc it makes me shutter. So here is how I do a majority of the PLR reworking.

I outsource it.

Seriously – why am I going waste my time working on packages when I can get several people to do the work for me for pennies on the dollar. I’ve had a bunch of things done for me – transcripts, writing, video, editing, etc for less than $3 an hour.

So what I do it look at a PLR package and think about how I would like to look. A new cover, a new name, a few new and additional documents, tools, etc.

Then I head over to an outsourcing place (odesk, elance, etc) and get to work hiring people.

A new DVD type graphic cover with a new name – $15

Transcriptions of audio or video – $2.22 an hour

A quick start guide – $20-30 tops

Then what I would do is this. Get a written document and sell it for dirt cheap on a forum. Think about it – use the low perceived value against the buyer. They aren’t expecting much so you charge dirt cheap prices for it ($7 or less).

Then have an upsell or a one time offer that adds them the total package which is mostly the original PLR package or slightly rewritten.

So you have a rewritten PLR package as a front end and best of all it is totally done for you.

The other thing I do with PLR is take it big and make it small (also something I have been cursed with). Meaning that if you have a mega package of PLR on a topic why not take it and reduce the total size on content.

Most people I know want is a single solution to a single problem. So instead of some mega Twitter on Crack product – why not solve a single problem – like how to get more followers. You can charge less for the package and once they are interested in a single part of the solution – they’ll want more and more and more.

Also because of the lower price it makes it more of an impulse purchase and cheaper than a mega course.

There’s a great, quick way to re-write private label rights content in no time at all. I call it the paraphrase re-writing system. It’s extremely simple, but you’ll be able to create unique content out of private label rights content in virtually no time.

Here’s all you do…

Step 1.) Read a sentence from the private label rights content you wish to re-write.
Step 2.) Paraphrase the sentence as if you were teaching the content to someone else.

Since you’re using private label rights content, you don’t need to provide a source. It’s like it came from your own brain. YOU get all of the credit. Let me give you an example of how I might re-write a sentence from private label rights content. Here’s an example:

Original: “The advantage of online classes is that you can study in your own time and at your own pace.”

My version: “Online classes are superior because you can study at the rate that is most comfortable to you.”

It took approximately 10 seconds to re-write this sentence. By going through each sentence, one at a time, at a consistent pace, you’ll be able to re-write a PLR article to be virtually 100% original in a fraction of the time as it would take to write an entire article from scratch.

Keep in mind this is just one of the many private label rights re-writing methods that we know…and, in fact, it’s one of the slowest. But, most importantly, it works…and isn’t that what you’re looking for?

If you’re interested in getting advanced level training, check out John’s Private Label Rights Training Sessions.

Where do you find high quality private label rights content? How do you even get started? Are there any tricks or insider tactics?

Well, I’m going to give you some great advice about buying private label rights content that you won’t hear any other place. And, it’s really simple.

It’s kind of an old tactic. It’s like buying anything else. What you do is talk to your friends…

What you do is take advantage of the work that someone else has done. If someone else has already found a great source of PLR why not follow along? It’s the true power of word of mouth.

Whenever I need to buy PLR articles in a new niche, I just ask my brother if he’s got any recommendations. If he does, my next steps are easy. I just take action.

And it goes the other way. If he needs help finding private label rights articles and ebooks in some market, he’ll go ahead and ask me. It works great.

This basic “system” works because it’s built on trust. If you have trust and respect, then making smart choices about PLR is an easy thing.

By the way, if your looking for my highest recommendation the be sure to check out the Simple PLR Club. The great thing about this club is that it’s done by the Rhodes Brothers, but you also get sales letters along with products. It’s about as “turnkey” as you can get.

In any event, I encourage you to ask other smart people what they are doing. The approach works… It’s saved me hundreds of dollars. Even better, it’s made me thousands of dollars.

You want to know how to “cheat” Google? It’s really easy. Like playing poker, never show them your hand! I’ll tell you what that means if you give me a minute or two.

This isn’t an evil or “black hat” use of private label rights. Look, it’s never a good idea to play with fire that way. You will get burned.

The secret I’m going to reveal is completely honest. It’s smart. And, it’s proven to work again and again.

I need to start here:

Most PLR content is just rehashed garbage. And, most people just take PLR articles, for example, and paste them on different web sites. No changes, no modification. It’s such a waste of time and energy.

I’m all for being lazy, but it pays huge bucks to make even the smallest changes to your PLR ebooks and PLR articles. Small changes, big results.

But making changes — well, that’s not my secret. Here’s what you need to know…

Google will never care what you’re doing if your content is private. If you’re got any security in place (e.g., username and password) then Google’s going to KEEP OUT. At least most of the time…

This might seem “lame” but think about it. You have the ability to post anything you want inside a membership and Google will not penalize you. EzineArticles won’t care. In fact, the only people who will care… are your membership members.

That’s cool. It means that even if your private label rights products are being used by a ton of people, if your customers have never seen that PLR, you are in great shape. No penalties. No issues. No worries. PLR to the rescue!

Just imagine taking a private label rights report, chopping it into parts, dumping it into an autoresponder and adding a payment system on top. And, maybe a dash of extra security. Voila! You have a membership site.

~ John

I think the way to become a guru with PLR is the same way you become a guru with anything else. Think about the tried and true advice about becoming an expert on anything in life. You collect a bunch of information, read through it, use it and over time with information and experience you become an expert.

And it doesn’t take years, only months (maybe even quicker). Want to know a shortcut? Actually put the stuff into action and report on your findings. Think about it – I’m a book worm who has read everything there is on twitter. You’re a guy or gal who has only had a few things on twitter but you actually put it into use. So you see what works, what doesn’t etc.

Now I put out a product and talk only about what is in the book, then you come along and blow me out of the water because you have what most of want in life – PROOF it works. There is nothing better in this world than PROOF something works and apples to apples you’ll kick my butt every time.

So now you have info, you have proof it works, now you just start telling people about your knowledge and experience. In forums, in writing (which you can use PLR to help with), anywhere and everywhere you can tell people you are an expert because you are.

How do you think anyone else becomes an expert? They learn, they do, they find out what works and tell others about it. PLR just helps cut down the learning curve. You could get 3 PLR packages and within a weekend learn more about any topic you want.

So now you have the knowledge, now you need to take action with it.

The real value of private label rights (PLR) is the brainpower you’re buying. That seems like a vague explanation so I want to make it concrete.

Watch this video on the true value of private label rights.

First, high quality private label rights products are well organized. Someone has spent time organizing and categorizing content. This structure is very valuable. An example is a table of contents in an ebook.

Second, excellent PLR is easy to re-use and re-structure and re-write. When someone else has done a good job with a product, it’s much easier to make that product fresh and brand spanking new.

Third, you want to leverage content and brainpower. You don’t want to have to edit and proofread for lame problems. So, high quality PLR won’t have basic grammar and spelling problems. It’ll be crisp and clean, and ready to exploit.

Here’s a very clear 5 minute video explaining these concepts. This is a “live” example for you. I clearly explain the true value of private label rights so there’s no ambiguity. Anyone can follow along!

Free private label rights will ruin your life…

What I mean is that it’s very easy to find free PLR and free resale rights products. It’s easy to load up your hard drive with a bunch of crap. I’ve seen many people do that again and again.

There are really three huge problems with free private label rights products, especially free articles and free ebooks that have unrestricted rights:

Most free PLR is very poor quality

Most people never actually use free PLR

Most free private label rights are distracting

Most free PLR is just pure junk. It’s very hard to know this ahead of time. You have to download the garbage then sift through it like a gutter rat. It’s really just a complete waste of time and effort.

Most people — not you! — are lazy. The grab all the free resale rights products they can get right all with all the free PLR they can get. It’s like a crazy land grab. This is nothing but a distraction. Again, it’s a waste of time and effort.

Most free PLR will eat up all your free time and energy. I know people who slave over free private label rights products just to “get it right” but they usually give up… the quality of virtually all free content with unrestricted rights is just too low.

Yes, you can find hidden gems. But finding this kind of Kick Butt PLR content can take you hours… if not days. What’s your time worth? Isn’t it smarter just to make a good investment?

Then again, you do have to know how to properly buy PLR. That last thing you want to do is buy a ton of PLR without the right “filters” in place.

First, I always tell our coaching students to pay very close attention to how they spend money. You must know why you want to buy private label rights articles or ebooks. You need to have a business need for the PLR you’re buying. If you’re just grabbing PLR because it’s a “steal” you’re burning cash. It’s unlikely you will ever use that content.

Second, you need to know how to buy private label rights and resale rights products. In addition to matching the right products to the right business goal, you need to have a specific set of “filters” to decide if the PLR is a good investment for you, or not. It’s very easy to buy PLR… but it’s very hard to buy PLR that you can exploit within 24 hours and make cash.

Third, you need to change your thinking about private labels so that each product you buy becomes another asset. Specifically, you need to buy your PLR thinking that it is an actual investment and that it can be converted into cash in the short term. If you think it’s going to magically generate cash in 3-4 months when you have time, you’re foolin’ yourself.

Finally, you need to have clear “transformation goals” before buying or investing in private label rights. What I mean is pretty simple. You must know how to take your PLR and convert it before you buy it. Are you going to convert an ebook into an audio file? Are you going to take the audio PLR and convert it into text content? It’s essential to answer this ahead of time. Or, once again, you’ll just burn cash in the hope of future profits from a product you’ll never update or sell.

If you do these things you can make hundreds of dollars per PLR report. And to recap, here’s what I said. I want to be clear:

Be sure to have a clear business need ahead of time; don’t get sucked in by a “deal”

Be sure to filter out any noise and have clear business objectives (profit goals) ahead of time

Think of PLR as an asset and don’t buy unless you have an immediate return on your investment

Be sure to have a clear process in mind for exploiting and transforming your PLR ahead of time

If you follow these “rules” then you’ll be able to make $32.78 or more from each and every PLR article like I am able to do. I’ll explain more about that crazy profit trick in the near future.

It amazes me that more people don’t use private label rights products. They’re one of the best and easiest ways to make money online. 90% of the work is done for you…you just make a few tweaks to the content and then profit.

Before I begin, let me explain what private label rights actually are…

Sometimes, when people create a product, rather than selling it on the market, they decide to sell the rights to the product. These rights can come in many different forms…

Resale Rights / Resell Rights (RR): You have the rights to sell or give away the article, product, text, video or other product as-is, with no modifications allowed. You do not have the right to pass on the resell rights or resale rights to anyone else.

Master Resale Rights / Master Resell Rights (MRR): Again, you have the rights to sell and give away the content as long as you don’t modify it in any way. However, you also have the right to sell the resell rights or resale rights to others.

Private Label Rights (PLR): This is the ultimate form of resell rights. You have the rights to modify or break up and sell or give away the content as you wish. In some cases, you may sell the private label rights to others – in others, you may not. When you purchase the rights, it will typically give you specific instructions on what you may and may not do with the content.

As you can tell, PLR content offers the most freedom…which means that you’ll be able to use it anyway that you’d like.

Over the next few days, I’m going to show you exactly how to start taking private label rights content and making a killing with it. Stay tuned.

So, what are private label rights? The short answer is that PLR is a way of thinking about how you can use products. Most people like to talk about the actual products… The content, the material, the product itself.

But, that is really is really the wrong way to think about private label rights. It’s about the rights you have. It’s about what you can
do with the products. It’s about ownership and flexibility.

The absolute best way to think about private label rights, in my opinion, is to look at the actual rights. You really must know the
exact rights you get when you buy resale rights (reseller rights) products and private label rights products.

To know your rights you should look for, or just directly ask for, a rights file. Let me show you what that looks like typically. Remember, this is just an example. There are many nuances.

[YES] Can be edited completely
[YES] Can claim full ownership
[YES] Can be added to paid membership sites
[YES] Can be packaged with other products
[YES] Can be sold
[YES] Can be broken into multiple chunks
[YES] Graphics and mini-site included
[YES] Can be offered through auction sites
[YES] Can be given to list subscribers
[NO] Can be given away on public download
[NO] Can sell Private Label Rights (PLR)

Let’s briefly look at what this example means. And remember, this is just one example of the rights you might have…

First, you can do many things with this product. You have many rights including the right to package, edit, sell and generally use the product in just about any way.

Second, there are some clear restrictions here. You cannot make this product available to the public for free. You need to sell it or
otherwise change or alter it before making it available for free or for sale. The other thing is that you cannot pass the PLR rights along to any customers.

Now, as you can imagine, there are many combinations here. You can give many rights when selling private label rights. And, you can get many rights when buying PLR. And of course, vice versa.

This complexity usually fools people when trying to figure out “What are private label rights?” PLR can be simple if you go through each of the rights, step by step. Now you have a pretty good idea what to expect. And, importantly, if you don’t have the rights, you can now ask for clarification from the seller. If you don’t get good answers… you should run away.

One last thing… if you understand these rights then you gain a real understanding of the value of private label rights. It’s the rights the really boost the bottom line value of PLR.
