<p>True story.</p>
<p>And since that day I’ve been affected by the lazy gene. So when it comes to words like work and rewrite, etc it makes me shutter. So here is how I do a majority of the PLR reworking.</p>
<p>I outsource it.</p>
<p>Seriously – why am I going waste my time working on packages when I can get several people to do the work for me for pennies on the dollar. I’ve had a bunch of things done for me – transcripts, writing, video, editing, etc for less than $3 an hour.</p>
<p>So what I do it look at a PLR package and think about how I would like to look. A new cover, a new name, a few new and additional documents, tools, etc.</p>
<p>Then I head over to an outsourcing place (odesk, elance, etc) and get to work hiring people.</p>
<p>A new DVD type graphic cover with a new name &#8211; $15</p>
<p>Transcriptions of audio or video &#8211; $2.22 an hour</p>
<p>A quick start guide &#8211; $20-30 tops</p>
<p>Then what I would do is this. Get a written document and sell it for dirt cheap on a forum. Think about it – use the low perceived value against the buyer. They aren’t expecting much so you charge dirt cheap prices for it ($7 or less).</p>
<p>Then have an upsell or a one time offer that adds them the total package which is mostly the original PLR package or slightly rewritten.</p>
<p>So you have a rewritten PLR package as a front end and best of all it is totally done for you.</p>
<p>The other thing I do with PLR is take it big and make it small (also something I have been cursed with). Meaning that if you have a mega package of PLR on a topic why not take it and reduce the total size on content.</p>
<p>Most people I know want is a single solution to a single problem. So instead of some mega Twitter on Crack product – why not solve a single problem – like how to get more followers. You can charge less for the package and once they are interested in a single part of the solution – they’ll want more and more and more.</p>
<p>Also because of the lower price it makes it more of an impulse purchase and cheaper than a mega course.</p>

<p>Since you&#8217;re using private label rights content, you don&#8217;t need to provide a source. It&#8217;s like it came from your own brain. YOU get all of the credit. Let me give you an example of how I might re-write a sentence from private label rights content. Here&#8217;s an example:</p>

<p>It took approximately 10 seconds to re-write this sentence. By going through each sentence, one at a time, at a consistent pace, you&#8217;ll be able to re-write a PLR article to be virtually 100% original in a fraction of the time as it would take to write an entire article from scratch.</p>
<p>Keep in mind this is just one of the many private label rights re-writing methods that we know&#8230;and, in fact, it&#8217;s one of the slowest. But, most importantly, it works&#8230;and isn&#8217;t that what you&#8217;re looking for?</p>

<p>Well, I&#8217;m going to give you some great advice about buying private label rights content that you won&#8217;t hear any other place. And, it&#8217;s really simple.</p>
<p>It&#8217;s kind of an old tactic. It&#8217;s like buying anything else. What you do is talk to your friends&#8230;</p>
<p>What you do is take advantage of the work that someone else has done. If someone else has already found a <strong>great source of PLR</strong> why not follow along? It&#8217;s the true power of word of mouth.</p>
<p>Whenever I need to buy PLR articles in a new niche, I just ask my brother if he&#8217;s got any recommendations. If he does, my next steps are easy. <em>I just take action.</em></p>
<p>And it goes the other way. If he needs help finding private label rights articles and ebooks in some market, he&#8217;ll go ahead and ask me. It works great.</p>
<p><strong>This basic &#8220;system&#8221; works because it&#8217;s built on trust. </strong>If you have trust and respect, then making smart choices about PLR is an easy thing.</p>
<p>By the way, if your looking for my highest recommendation the be  sure to check out the <strong><a href=" http://simpleplrclub.com/">Simple PLR Club</a></strong>. The great thing about this club is that it&#8217;s done by the Rhodes Brothers, but you also get <em>sales letters</em> along with products. It&#8217;s about as &#8220;turnkey&#8221; as you can get.</p>

<p>But what are you going to talk about during those years and keep people interested and paying you money?</p>
<p>Sure you may know some great stuff and be able to teach at the beginning but what about year 3?</p>
<p>That is why I love PLR. Look you can’t be everything to everyone. No matter how much you know, people want more and more. So using PLR can really help give your customers new information that they want and the money that you want. It’s a win-win really.</p>
<p>Now the next thing you’re thinking is what about Google or someone else noticing. That’s the great thing about membership sites and PLR – it is private. So they never see it. In fact here is a dirty little secret … 80% of the membership sites out there use PLR on a normal basis.</p>
<p>They have to because people’s ability to consume is much greater than your ability to produce.</p>
<p>So how do you do it? Well there are a lot of ways but I am just going to share one with you because it is what I would do.</p>
<p>I would take whatever the PLR package is and digest it all. Then I’d take that information and make a quick start guide that would be as original as possible and that would be my lead in product to sell people the membership site.</p>
<p>Inside the membership site would be a collection or PLR and original content. I’d set it all up for weekly emails through an autoresponder (I use aweber) so it could be as hands off as possible. Add more PLR – get more content – make some of it original if possible. Rinse and repeat.</p>

<p>Don’t freak if you find it out there. <em>It happens.</em></p>
<p>All you have to do is decide if you want to put in the work to repurpose the PLR and once you decide to do that, then just get to work. It ain&#8217;t rocket surgery.</p>

<p>John and I could not believe some of the responses we got. Here is one that floored us:</p>
<p>Question: <strong>&#8220;Which type of Private Label Rights content do you prefer to use to make money online?&#8221;</strong></p>
<p>The <em>OVERWHELMING MAJORITY</em> preferred to use complete &#8220;turnkey packages&#8221; over everything else. For every 1 respondent that preferred to use PLR articles, videos OR products to make money online, there were at least 3 people that preferred to use an entire package to make money.</p>
<p>We had thought that more people would have wanted individual products, articles or videos so they could &#8220;piece meal&#8221; them into your business. Now we know how to best help you make money with the content!</p>
<p>We also received a LOT of great questions from the survey. We asked people what their #1 question about making money with Private Label Rights was. So, I spent yesterday going through all of the questions and answered some of the most common ones we received&#8230;</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I used to find private label rights like everyone else – buy everything in site and then let the turds float to the surface. Seriously, the only rhythm and reason for me buying a PLR package was the balance of my paypal account.</p>
<p>Then I tried a few different PLR membership sites but most of them were heavy on promise, light on content, etc. Finally I got tired of it all and did what Dr. Phil would recommend – ask the expert. So when I hooked up with John and Matt I had to ask – where do you guys get your PLR&#8230; cause all I am getting is rejects?</p>
<p>While they wouldn’t give me their source (not enough drinking I guess) Matt and John did tell me some great ways to ensure the PLR package I buy next is quality and not crap.</p>
<p>The first thing they told me was to <strong>look at the total package including the sales letter.</strong> Instead of just glossing over it, I actually took the time to read it. It makes sense because if it is a good outline or it makes me want to buy then chances are it will make others do the same.</p>
<p>Then they told me to contact the seller and request a sample or a peak inside. Again, you can overdo this, but if you are establishing a relationship with a new seller it might not be a bad idea to ask them to see a part of the package to ensure it is what you are looking for.</p>
<p>So quick recap – 1. Ask the experts who they use to get good quality PLR.</p>
<p>2. Read the sales letter for the product and if it makes you want to buy chances are others will want to as well.</p>
<p>3. If the seller is willing, get a review copy of the PLR package to ensure it contains what you need. Only do this if you’re serious about buying it and having an ongoing relationship with the seller.</p>
<p>My last tip is one for me when it comes to buying PLR is this – look for upper end PLR. Meaning stuff that already has video or audio or both for you along with a kick butt graphics package. That way you can always go down (transcripts, fast action guides, etc) instead of having to invest hours in audio and video production.</p>

<p>People fail because they fail to take action. Seriously, how many times have you had a good idea and then sat on it and done nothing with it. I’ve done it a hundred times at least so you’re not alone.</p>
<p>Remember the free PLR blog? Did you go out and find a free PLR, repurpose it and give it away like I suggested? I doubt it, and you’re not alone.</p>
<p>Look when John and I talked about PLR I didn’t just sit on it – in fact I setup a membership site and repurposed 2 PLR products within a few days of our talk. Why? Because I know to get anything in life you have to … take action.</p>
<p>Here is what I did with both of the PLR products. I read them twice and anytime I had a feeling or something spoke to me I highlighted it. Then at the end of the reports I took what spoke to me and turned the 50 page report into a 10 page no fluff one. And I did it instantly. Seriously, one was at 2:30 in the morning, the other at 8 o’clock at night.</p>
<p>In fact most of the time when desire hits me I stop what I am doing and take action until it is done. Simple I know but a lot of people don’t do it. So here is my suggestion – find a PLR you are interested in, read it over, take out the guts and make it into a no fluff report. Or what about that PLR you wanted to turn into something else? Stop thinking and start … taking action.</p>
<p>Don’t be like me, don’t let PLR stuff collect virtual dust. Stop dreaming, start doing.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The real hidden value of private label rights content isn&#8217;t necessarily the substance of the content &#8211; it&#8217;s all of the brainpower behind the concepts that are talked about inside of the PLR. Someone else has done the research to find out what sells like hotcakes on the market&#8230;it makes it really easy for you. You just need to make sure that the PLR you have is the kind of high quality material that the market demands.</p>
<p>A quick litmus test to determine the popularity of a particular PLR report is to simply search on Google for the title of the report. If you find that Google has over 100,000 search results for the title of the report, then it has become fairly popular in the market and has a very good chance to sell when you start to advertise it (if, of course, you make it unique by following the guidelines I&#8217;ve been talking about over the last few days.)</p>
<p>If a PLR report has become widestread, it can mean that the market is saturated with that product&#8230;not necessarily a bad sign, but it means that you should try to find a unique angle to use as you re-write your content.</p>
<p><strong>Example: </strong>If you have a generic dieting-type weight loss private label rights product that seems high enough quality and you found that the market has an overwhelming amount of people selling it, then you could use the same PLR but add in easy and quick exercises for busy, working moms. It&#8217;s just about putting a new spin on old material. It&#8217;s what many of the Internet Marketing Gurus do. <em>&#8220;There&#8217;s nothing new under the sun.&#8221;</em></p>
<p>So, here&#8217;s a task for you&#8230;especially if you want to start sifting through your private label rights and start taking serious action with it. Sit down for a couple of hours and separate your private label rights content into two folders:<br />

DO NOT KEEP</strong></p>
<p>Don&#8217;t spend more than 30 seconds evaluating a PLR article, and don&#8217;t spend more than 2 minutes evaluating a PLR report. If you feel it provides value and it&#8217;s worth selling, keep it. If not, trash it. Be very judgmental and harsh -  you might end up trashing 90% of more of your content (depending on what you&#8217;ve purchased in the past).</p>
<p>Then, take the &#8220;DO NOT KEEP&#8221; folder and trash it. Trust me, this is for the best. Bad content will shine through your writing if it&#8217;s there. It&#8217;s toxic.</p>
<p>After you do that, you&#8217;ll find it a lot easier to start working through the high-quality PLR products that you own. Start re-writing them&#8230;I&#8217;m going to give you some ideas about how to start selling them for maximum profitability over the next few days. Get ready&#8230;</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Over the last several years online, I&#8217;ve gotten smarter and smarter about using Private Label Rights products. But, at the beginning, I made a lot of the &#8220;newbie&#8221; mistakes that amateur marketers make&#8230;</p>
<p><strong>1.) Overinvesting in Private Label Rights.</strong> When I first started out, I scooped up a LOT of private label rights products, both free and premium. After a while, I had too many piled up&#8230;I got &#8220;analysis paralysis&#8221; and became overwhelmed by the amount of PLR I had acquired. So, as many newer marketers do, I let them build up&#8230;and for a while, that caused me to fail with private label rights.</p>
<p><strong>2.) Underinvesting in Private Label Rights. </strong>As I mentioned in my post yesterday, using free private label rights products really slowed down the growth of my business. Even if you invest a small amount in premium PLR, the return on investment will be ten to hundred-fold, provided you find good private label rights content.</p>
<p><strong>3.) Lack of focus. </strong>Once I figured out that I should be exploiting the private label rights products that I had let build up, I began to throw up what were essentially virtual malls of content. I had products on every topic under the sun in these little virtual malls&#8230;and I did make a few sales. However, the real key is to FOCUS on one single market, dominate it, and then move on to the next one.</p>
<p><strong>4.) Not re-writing the PLR.</strong> In addition to throwing up the products on those virtual mall websites, I made the huge mistake of not re-writing the titles of my products and not adding extra &#8220;mojo&#8221; to the products. This de-valued all of the products&#8230;I was underselling myself. I could have made so much more if I made them unique.</p>
<p><strong>5.) Not creating a new e-cover.</strong> A lot of PLR products come with digital graphic covers, but most of them flat out suck. Plus, if you&#8217;ve re-written the title of your PLR product (as you should!) then you need a new e-cover anyway. It&#8217;s well worth the time and money investment.</p>
<p><strong>6.) Not having timelines to use PLR.</strong> As I&#8217;ve become smarter about exploiting private label rights products, I always have a specific timeline in which I promise to use the PLR, and a specific purpose. Rather than purchasing it for the sake of using it later, or because it&#8217;s a &#8220;good deal,&#8221; I&#8217;m looking to implement it into some of my existing marketing funnels, or as their own easy, high-profit funnels.</p>
<p>There&#8217;s good news, though&#8230;if you invest properly, focus, re-write and set timelines for yourself, using private label rights products can launch your business to the next level. Literally.</p>
